Congratulations! The Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation has approved your guaranteed loan for the purchase of a computer. We appreciate how important such equipment is for your personal independence.
Once your loan papers arrive from First Union National Bank, be sure to read them over carefully before you sign them and to contact the bank if you have any questions. Pay particular attention to the monthly repayment amount, which you requested to pay. If there is any discrepancy between the monthly payment amount you requested (about $100/month) and what the bank has assigned for you, please contact First Union directly to discuss the difference. A phone number will be on the loan papers.
Because of your limited credit record, the Foundation did have to guarantee your loan. Therefore, if you do not make your payments, the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation will be responsible. Therefore, it is extremely important that you make your monthly payments promptly. Good payment records by all individuals who got loans for assistive technology by accessing the Assistive Technology Financing Program will help the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation create additional opportunities for other Pennsylvanians with disabilities.
We suggest that you have your bank make the loan payments automatically. It makes it easier for you and less likely that you might forget to make a loan payment.
