A two and a half day specialized workshop was hosted by NATTAP in Raleigh, North Carolina and was designed for participants who were starting new device demonstration and loan programs as well as those participants looking to enhance/improve their device demonstration and loan programs. The agenda for this workshop, which was developed by a planning group of state AT directors and device demonstration and loan center personnel, was structured to address the essentials for building, maintaining, and sustaining a device demonstration and device loan program. Presentations provided information so that participants could compare and contrast their programs.Moderated discussions on Day 1 allowed for sharing of operational details and decision-making about program structure. The North Carolina AT Center in Raleigh hosted an Open House for participants to take a tour of their facility with staff on hand to answer questions.Day 2 sessions were built around maintaining device demonstration and loan programs. Concurrent roundtable discussions on the second day allowed people to move through smaller informal discussions on specific topics.Day 3 sessions focused on sustainability of device demonstration and loan programs.Statewide AT Programs and AgrAbility: Providing AT-Related Services to Farmers and Ranchers with Disabilities (2007) -- Available formats:

Rural Statewideness Mobile Demonstrations Teleconference – January 15, 2009 (2009) -- Available formats:
NATTAP hosted the second affinity call for programs to discuss their outreach to Rural populations on the set up of portable and mobile demonstration centers. Roger Levy, of the Texas Technology Access Program and Kevin Wright, of the Tennessee Technology Access Program, presented information on how their programs established these demonstration centers and share strategies for Statewide programs to consider in the development of a mobile/portable demonstration in their state as well as the challenges associated with the maintenance of a mobile/portable demonstration center.Rural Statewideness - Teleconference – November 13, 2008 (2008) -- Available formats:

Arlene Lugo of the Connecticut Assistive Technology Project, Kathy Adams of MaineCITE, and Sharon Alderman of the Vermont Assistive Technology Program presented information on how they collaborated with the public schools systems in their states in developing an AT Exchange Program specifically designed for school districts to share AT equipment.
