  This PowerPoint provides an overview of emergency management terms and concepts. It also provides information for how people with disabilities can be integrated into emergency management preparation and how assistive technology can be a key component of the planning.
• Emergency Preparedness - Role of AT in Preparing for, Responding to, and Recovering from Disaster (2009) -- Available formats: ppt
  This presentation describes why reused AT is important in emergency preparation. It has information on local incidents and the lessons learned from the Katrina disaster. Strategies are suggested that include educating yourself and knowing how the emergency response system works.
