Update on RESNA Catalyst Project CEUs
You may receive CEUs for viewing most archived webinar sessions. RESNA is an approved authorized provider for CEU credits by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). You can receive .1 CEUs for a sixty minute webinar and .2 CEUs for a ninety minute webinar. To apply for CEUs for a specific webinar, request the CEU Application Form from Paul Galonsky at pgalonsky@resna.org, complete it, and send it to RESNA as the directions indicate within the CEU application. There is a $28 fee to receive credits for each webinar.

  • Statewide AT Directors Forum - February 17, 2015
    On February 17, 2015, the RESNA Catalyst Project hosted a Statewide AT Directors Forum. The Forum is designed for SGAT Directors to talk informally about AT Act topics and programmatic issues that they may be currently facing, as well as technical guidance adhering to federal and state regulations. During this call, Lauren Rock, Nebraska’s AT4ALL Program Coordinator, discussed the disposition and reuse of AT devices purchased by Statewide AT Programs. In addition, Lauren discussed the Nebraska ReRUN Program.

  • Meeting the AT Needs of Preschool Students Under the IDEA - June 17, 2010
    Ron Hager from the National Disability Rights Network presented information on the variety of funding sources available to preschool students needing AT. One of the most important is the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Part C of the IDEA, the early intervention program for infants and toddlers, covers children with disabilities from birth through age two. The school-age provisions of the IDEA, Part B, cover students beginning at age three.

  • Collections: The Bottom Line, Teleconference held December 8, 2009
    This was an opportunity to hear from a panel of AFP programs regarding collecting on defaulted loans. A representative of the collections industry, Chad Echols of Hamilton, Martens & Ballou of Rock Hill, South Carolina, provided an overview of the general process of collecting on past due account and the different approaches a lender or guarantor can take to pursuing collections, as well as some of the legal considerations to keep in mind. Milissa Gofourth of the Oklahoma AFP, and Kathy Gilman from Washington then explained the different processes they use to pursue debt, and advantages and disadvantages of each approach.

  • Demystifying Titles, Teleconference held November 20, 2009
    Todd Wysocki, president of Michigan Auto Title Services, joined us for this teleconference to discuss issues around titles to vehicles loan programs finance. Mr. Wysocki gave an overview of the process to secure a clean title to a vehicle. He also provided definitions to key terms around titles, and, during a lively question and answer, helped to several specific issues faced by programs.

    Christy Crowther of Virginia’s New Well Fund discussed the process of sending applications for review to the loan committee and how the loan review committee makes its decisions.   • Pennsylvania AT @ Work Training Materials, May 14, 2009
    Amy Goldman and Ann Dolloff from Pennsylvania's Initiative on Assistive Technology (PIAT), and Jennifer Garman of the Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania presented information on their collaborative approach within the employment network that they developed to promote assistive technology in the workplace through outreach, training, and technical assistance.
